In my house almost anything goes for Halloween. My kids can be pretty much whatever they choose to be. This year my girls wanted to be members from Kiss. How could I resist!!!! A majority of their wardrobe came from Goodwill. We found this awesome fringed shirt for just $3.99!!!!! Not to mention a vintage vinyl vest. My older daughter found a cool tank at Hot Topic (it was for a band she liked so she can wear it again). We found the wigs at Target for $7.20 on clearance. The makeup was by me, of course! They received so many compliments on their costumes.
Here's the first of my costumes for Halloween. I attended a Hallows Eve Party and decided I wanted to be some sort of "pretty" zombie. So, this is what I came up with. I call myself the Zombie Queen! It's a latex & scar wax makeup. I added spray painted black flowers and a raven to my hair. My wardrobe was a "back of the closet special" and I added existing accessories.
I couldn't go trick or treating as the Zombie Queen (I couldn't live with scaring all the little ones). So I went with something a little lighter. Using the same clothing and hair accessories, I went with a friendlier glitter filled makeup and transformed into a Dark Fairy. She was a lot of fun & full of sparkles.
